Major League Baseball Computer Picks

I just wanted to check in here and make a thread for the 2008 baseball season.

Some people have been asking for the picks already.

The computer needs 2-3 weeks of stats to build up before it can start making picks.

I'll be back around the third week of April ...and then we should have quite a few picks until about August.

After that football starts and we just keep going with the next sport :103631605

Last year was around 56-57% ATS.

The year before was +60% ATS.

I'm really getting the itch to make some picks...should be very soon.

Glad to see you posting here MJ, hoping your magic computer will bring up some nice picks. Are you going to have expert picks like with the NBA-picks? Thanks:toast:

No its a little different computer set up for baseball. We just go with what the computer says...no other opinions needed.

I think the NBA is trickier...thats why I added the experts filter.

Baseball is just pure numbers...which works very well for a computer program.

Lets just hope it works again this year. :toast:

I'm not into chalk ...although I have to lay it in the NBA sometimes and I seem to get away with it there.

But in general...the baseball system should give us small dogs of +120 to small faves -130 is about my max...and I really prefer to keep it -120 max as much as possible...unless its a really good matchup.

But I understand your concern...I don't think you can wager over -120 too much or it will eat you up. :103631605

Finally...the computer is able to make a couple of picks. It's still a little bit early...but these appear to have good value according to the computer.

Lets get the ball rolling...depending on how these picks do....we may be very selective for a week or two yet.

These computer picks ALWAYS require scheduled starting pitchers to start...thats how you should play them...but I will alway count the pick regardless of a pitching change...just because I can't change my method of record keeping.

BOL in bases MJ. The computer is gold in NBA, hope it spits out similar results in MLB.

Yes...when its possible I will try to get the plays out earlier than today.

Makes sense, still early in the season, probably didn't expect to have any plays today. Nice job so far, looking like a big night.
