Told them I have had the nfl, nhl and mlb packages for 8 yrs. Asked for the mlb superfan package for free. They didn't flinch, "let me check your acct sir.......no problem" Worth checking out if anyone has an interest mlb superfan package.

Working a local cable provider you wont get crap. But working DTV, you will more than likely get something.

Someone posted a while back they hounded them until they got the DVR HD box for free. It's like 300$.

Let's not forget the guy who owns DTV is one of the ten richest men in America. They have money to burn.

This process would be a whole lot easier if the people who answered the phone for DTV actually spoke English...

I got a free HD DVR

got SUperfan HD free for a couple of years but had t pay last season.

If you call and Bitch about anything and say hook me up with something for your trouble they usally take $5-10 off a month for like 6 months.

Anyone know why CBS isn't available in HD through DTV? At least, it's not in upstate NY. They have HD channels for kids cartoons, but not CBS ... kind of sucks during NFL season.

Out here in Portland, during the march madness games, the local cbs channel has a crawl giving a dtv number, saying call dtv and you want hd for kion, the local cbs channel. With that, I would assume it's a dtv decision.

I believe that it is your local CBS. Had that problem here, and CBS was at fault.

When I first got the dtv, local channels were not available, only bigger markets. When we did, I got all of them except cbs for abouit 5 months. dtv said they couldn't agree on a contract with the owner the local cbs channel. It may be a contract issue.

It's all about making the local stations pay Dtv to be in HD(in most cases). There's a reason why they are running the "crawl" telling you to call and bitch....and it's called the $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
