I haven't been to AC in almost 25 years, live in CT so its fairly close.

This deal looks good. Is the place a shithole ? I mean the hotel, not the city... I know AC is like North Vegas.

I might check it out, it's been a long time.

All I remember of AC is this. It was the first place I ever played BJ, and I was underage, but no problem.

I'm thinking you had to 18, so I was 17 in 1980, I had read some of the card counting books at the time. There was some Playboy type hotel, dealers with huge knockers hanging out of their "uniforms"... that was my first time on tilt, but quite fun drinking and gambling underage. I haven't been back since, but lived in Vegas since then, and Ca, and Co.

I might go back for an overnite 28 years later since its only 200 miles away. I probably won't even play much at all.

Thanks guys, sounds decent. A 4 hour drive, see Ben E King, get a room drive back.

I may do it.

been there a few times. very true, could be worse. hotel/casino is nice. never gets overly crowded which is nice. if you play poker, go play hold 'em there. especially on a holiday weekend. players there are awful, just sit and wait for hands and you can clean house. good luck if you go.

I can't really play if I go, gotta spend wife time, more tourist thing.

I can dump wife at GN in Vegas play DT, shit to occupy her there if there for a few days.

The AC thing could easily be never bet a buck.

LOL! Only if you want to get mugged on the way from the Hilton to the Borgata !! haha You got to walk thru the ghetto to get to the marina area. Borgata is best place down there though. The chicks are smoking hot there on weekends.

A.C. casino fights bank on seizure

Associated Press
ATLANTIC CITY - Atlantic City's smallest casino is headed back to court to try to stop its lenders from seizing control of the gaming hall. The Hilton has lost more money this year than any other Atlantic City casino and is in default on its mortgage.
The Press of Atlantic City reported Sunday the U.S. Bank National Association had filed a motion seeking permission to foreclose.
A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday morning in Atlantic City before state Superior Court Judge William C. Todd III.
The Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort stopped repaying its bank loans in July 2009 and has been trying to work out a deal with its lenders since then. As of the end of September, the casino had skipped $39.3 million worth of payments, including interest.
An attorney for the Hilton's owners told the newspaper there would be a long legal battle before the bank could take over the Boardwalk casino.
Hilton attorney Gilbert L. Brooks characterized U.S. Bank's motion as premature and said the Hilton would ask for more time to defend itself.
U.S. Bank has been pressuring the Hilton all year. In July, it asked the same judge to shift control of the Hilton to a receiver chosen by U.S. Bank. Todd declined, saying he had no reason to believe a receiver he appointed would run the casino better than its current management.
"There's a lot of complexity to it, depending on what happens," said Brooks, who represents Resorts International Holdings L.L.C., an affiliate of Colony Capital L.L.C., a private California real estate investment firm that bought the Hilton in 2005.
Joseph Lubertazzi Jr., a New Jersey attorney for U.S. Bank, could not be reached for comment.

article uses the name "Hilton" quite a bit for effect, note that hotel is not owned by nor does it have any affiliation with Hilton. The ac hilton is owned by Colony Capital L.L.C., a private California real estate investment firm, who is notoriously cheap.

"The Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort stopped repaying its bank loans in July 2009"

Wow. THat's like 18 months of not paying mortgage. If they aren't paying mortgage, they shouldn't be in the hole unless it's that bad, and that's given it plenty of time to recover, or make payments of some type... but.. i guess, they are planning on letting it go or settling debt in court.

That settles it...It's WED/DAY
