I cant fault the vigilence. The Hawk apparently has a nest and an egg somewhere nearby in the stadium. The girl was there for a tour. the girls name is Alexa Rodriguez.

Im not making this up.

Alexa Rodriguez, 13, is assisted by teacher Vince Jennetta after being attacked by a red-tailed hawk during a school tour of Fenway Park on Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Boston. She was touring the park with a group from Memorial Boulevard Middle School in Bristol, Conn., and sustained a cut to her scalp and was taken by ambulance to a hospital. The hawk had a nest containing an egg in an overhang near the press booth. The nest and egg were later removed at the direction of state wildlife officials. "The girl is fine," said Red Sox spokeswoman Susan Goodenow, according to a report on the Web site of the Boston Globe.

I guarantee you PETA will be more upset about what state wildlife did with the egg and nest than this girl getting hurt. The name thing is pretty fucking funny though.

Really just a warning could have been issued. But she was asking for it and the hawk is probably pretty indoctrinated with anti-yankee hatred.

This is why I didn't mind that golfer killing the hawk a few weeks ago. Hawks are nothing but flying disease carrying assholes with razor sharp feet and a pointy beak. They have no respect for humans and are very ungrateful for the all the conservation work we have done for them. Bastards.
