I placed a parlay 2 with +170/+120 at betonline.com and payoff is $100 pays $400....whereas the Greek pays around $494...

Is it common for books to do that??? I guess I didn't read the fine print from betonline...

Putting those odds in a parley calculator, you should be paid $494 on a $100 bet. So betonline is trying to fuck you in the ass and screw you over.

Its a capped payoff of 4-1 on two teamers, Lazer did this.

It screams underfunded. No reason to cap pays on two teamers. I can see not wanting to pay 1,000-1 on 3 big dogs, or capping parlays at 50k,100k,250k or something like that, but not 4-1 on two teams.

not really, when you get to 4 teams and beyond it is common to be shorted, the more teams the more likely it is to happen.

4 teams often get 10-1, instead of the 12.28-1 ( from memory, might be slightly off) that you'd get at Bookmaker,5D, etc

It gets really bad after 3 teams at many books. Tough to pay huge odds when somebody hits that ten teamer, for a minor book.
