Female officer accepted into LA's SWAT training program

If she passes the training she'd become the first female member of the elite team.

Many wives of current members are complaining it puts their husbands lives at risk. I know that women are serving everyday in the military without issue. I don't see Marines or Soldiers complaining when women pilots are dropping bombs on the bad guys.

What do you guys think?

People think of SWAT like that movie. Thats not the case. First just to get accepted to the program is not easy. Then if see passes trust and believe she wont be putting nobody in danger. If she would they for sure wouldnt pass her.

Just got back from Afghanistan partner. Was with Marines and Soldiers all day long. No complaints about women working as long as they pull their share and believe me, they do.

At the end of the day, comparing LAPD SWAT to active duty military service in a combat zone is laughable.

99% of SWAT operations are simply middle of the night raids of residential houses to effect a drug bust. I'm sure any broad who can wear paramilitary gear, black her name badge out and scream "Down on the floor bitch!!" real loud can pass muster.
