Dusty Baker is a fucking idiot. He hates white people and only manages to promote the interest of black folks. I hate him. How he could possibly use Corey Patterson over Bruce is beyond me. Quick, name the only 3 guys who have less than a 300 OBP and yet have been given over 600 PA's (ACTIVE)???

2 of them have been hit LEADOFF by DUSTY. Neifi Perez and Corey Patterson (both at .297 OBP)

HE IS AN INCOMPETENT CLOWNMONKEY. His ENTIRE success is built on on base percentage when he had BONDS, and yet he is too stupid to even realize it.

You are forgetting Patterson's defense. Someone has to get to the balls that Dunn can't get to. Also, someone has to bat 7-8th. Smart for the Reds as Bruce has to wait another year to be arbitration-eligible.

You're not this dumb. Dunn's defense is not terrible, and Patterson's defense isn't appreciably better than Bruce's. Certainly not anywhere close to makeup the difference in hitting prowess. I value defense a lot, but not hyperbole. Additionally, the Reds have a small window to win right now! Haarang will break down soon, as will Jr Griffey. Dunn is gone as well. They have to be confident that they can keep their superstar Bruce. Also, Hatteberg over Votto is stupid.
