In the first quarter they had a microphone in the huddle of the spurs during a time out. Popovich and Parker were talking about going to the Market Cafe because they had gotten fresh fish in today. The announcers joked that you just never know what they are going to discuss during timeouts.....
I seldom bet the NBA because it's such a garbage league but I've noticed the Spurs just pack it in once they know they can't win the game. They figure whether they lose by 1 or 25, it still counts as a loss. The bottom line is that they're just not a very good team and they'll get run right out of the playoffs by the first good team they play
They scored 9 in the 4th quarter because they fell in a 'No FGs in the last 5 minutes' funk, by then the Jazz had completely taken over and Ginobili, Parker and Duncan were sitting on the bench, looking outplayed. The game was very competitive in the first half, in part because Utah only shot 37% from the field, yet took a 2 pt lead into the half.
