Should be very competitive except for the Giants this year.

Your pick and thoughts.

My thoughts:

Both the Rockies and D'Backs have some great young talent and should only improve. Dodgers infusing youngsters with solid vets along with impressive Japanese import. Padres didn't add as much as others, and may falter a step.
Giants will get worked over like a government mule.

I'll take the Dodgers by 1.5 games over the D'Backs, 4 games over the Rocks, and 8 over the Pads. Gints fall back 32 games.

Could very well come down to injuries. Look for Upton to step up big time for Backs and Haren is a great add there as well. They won't be far back of the Blue.

Dodgers.

LA was the best team in the division last season, only to be done in by Grady Little's incompetence -- not letting Loney play everyday at 1B until June, only putting Billingsley in the rotation after Schmidt and Wolf went down, not giving Kemp consistent ABs until they were out of the division race, as well as his disastrous handling of the bullpen.

Torre's not without his shortcomings, but the difference between him and Little is night and day.

The Dodgers are the best team in the NL.

Huge Padres fan here..I don't think we win this year..Rockies, Dbacks and Dodgers all brimming with young talent..My pick is the Dbacks, adding Haren to Webb was huge and I think a few of their youngsters will step up and produce quite a few runs

I like the Padres.

Solid rotation and pen.

Iguchi is a nice additon to the lineup...and if Edmonds can stay healthy...I think he will give 'em some nice production.

ARIZONA:

The eight wins in a row are a franchise record for April, and all have come against NL West foes. Arizona has outscored its opponents 61-17 during the winning streak.

 Not a single vote for the Rockies. Sharp crowd.

Keep in mind that that the Dbacks stats are somewhat inflated due to the # of games played vs the inept Rockies.

Rockies look like they have one major "Rock-tober-Hangover"...

Not much going right for 'em yet.
