Every pitcher goes on 4 days rest, that is the rotation. Every 5th day, which would mean 4 days of rest.:nohead:

what I am saying is do they only have a 4 man rotation? Today is KC's 5th game, so there should be a #5 man, right? I would think this would wear out his arm earlier.

Teams just do this the first week of the season because they get an off day after the opener so they can get regular rest and get their ace a spot over a #5.

It is probably in Meche's best interest to go today. A lot of these big league pitchers get all out of whack when they dont go on the 5th day.
