What is with all the new guys in Baseball?

I know many of you here follow baseball very closely, I would not consider myself an avid follower compared to those on the forum, but it seems there are so many guys that have been brought in from witness protection, what is the deal?

Am I wrong and just think there are so many new guys or is this the case this season? More than in any season that I can remember.

Fyi...

We average between 25 and 30 new registratons a day. Many never post, some are shills, touts, and ghosts but around 5 or 6 end up posting normally at least a couple of times (some of those become regulars) out of everyday's group of new registrations. On April 5th. we registered 29 new user names, so far 5 have made at least one post..
