Is this Giants team going to be historically bad?

I just don't see how they can even get to 50 wins. Their offense is a joke. Ray Durahm is the #4 hitter.

Record low for wins this season?

This is their Sunday lineup.

They won't be historically bad, but anything less than 88 losses would be a shocker with the talent they have. Their pitching and ballpark will keep them in some games, but this lineup won't score 650 runs.

Molina is normally their clean up hitter, not that that is much, if any, better.

50 is pushing it
they will win about 40

12 runs in 6 games for the worst offense in mlb history
and now they are going home to a pitcher's park.
look for that avg to go below 2 after their homestand is finished

these giants are good..

Giants RHP Keiichi Yabu’s status for Monday’s home opener against the Padres is uncertain after he hurt his eyes when the elastic bands he was working out with Saturday became unhooked and snapped across his face

their pitching staff is way too good to allow them to get anywhere near 'historically bad' as far as overall record goes.

but theres no doubt this is one of the weakest lineups mlb has seen in recent memory.
they will win their share of games because the pitching staff is very good. but there will probably be some routine 6.5s and 7s on their totals in the coming months.

I think the Giants finish somewhere around 67-95...which is a minus 4 from LY.

Their starting pitching is pretty mediocre aside from Cain and Lincecum.

Zito, Sanchez, and Correia...pretty ugly there...

If Lowry was healthy...they would have had a solid top three.

This has the makings of an extremely anemic offensive club...and I would not be surprised if the Giants revisit trading Lincecum for a bat.

It's gonna be grim...Pitching's weak...Lineup obviously is a disaster piece...I'll throw out 60-102 for the season...Brutal!

Correia is much much better than you think. Giants still suck ass and Cain gives up way to many free bases

Sure...he had a real nice September LY when they decided to start him again...I am not denying that...

But I will be paying close attention to how he is throwing once his innings build up. Last year was the 1st time in his career, that he threw 100+ innings. Will be interesting to see what kind of numbers he has this season.

I hope Cain learned something from Maddux today...

4-and-a-third innings is not going to cut it with that anemic offense.

He threw a fine game tonight...

Cardinal's helped a little with some real bad baseball...

But he outpitched Wainwright.

Don't give a fcuk. I won with them 3 times already and almost pulled the trigger on them today. 50 wins or not I'll be making money on them so I love my G-Men.

Note: very underrated starting pitching aside from the big names.
