Lines that caught my eye.

1. Boston -1.5 - Rogers has not had much success vs Boston sporting a 1.50 whip. While Rogers has had a long career and some of these numbers might not be to relevant, Detroit is in a funk right now. Boston playing the home opener after a long trip and I don't see Rogers or the Tigs pen slowing them down.

2. KC +140. Is it just me or is Hughes getting too much respect. KC I have as a surprise team, going over their win total. I know Hughes has some promise, I am just not sure that he should be laying 140 on the road. Yanks struggled with the Rays, might struggle here too.

3. Yankees/Royals Over 9. Neither pen is lock down, 6-5 seems about right.

I gotta see more of Cueto pitch. Heard good things, but not sure he should be -111 here.

TOR, ARZ, TEX are strong -1.5 leans for me

TB Under 9 also jives

MIL should prevail vs Cincy, though Cueto may well get 5 or 6 good innings in here.

too tired to get into tuesdays lines much....but...

Seattle's bullpen is a mess right now. They are only carrying 11 pitchers, and Putz is on the DL. O'Flarety won't see the light of day in any more late inning situations, lefties will now face Rowland-Smith out of the pen. They aren't hitting much either, as through the first 3 innings of todays game, 15 out of their last 16 runs had come on homers. Obviously not manufacturing runs well. The defense also has eight errors, most in the majors. They travel from Baltimore to Tampa tomorrow.

The Orioles are sitting at 5-1 and believing in themselves. Apparently they are getting pretty ticked off about the media doubting their hot start. They swept the M's at home.

Peter Moylan of the Braves lost another game, letting up a 2 run shot to Holiday in the bottom of the 8th tonight. Blew Glavine's beautiful start.

Brewers started 5-1, and thats with no homers from Fielder, JJ Hardy off to a slow start, Tony Gwynn Jr missing a few games, and Eric Gagne blowing a save (picked up a W in the same game).

I like Arizona a lot. They should hit the ball and thus have to work less to earn every win as opposed to last season when they didn't hit. The DBacks should hit, they can run a bit, and they have good starting pitching (Webb is a CY Young candidate, Dan Haren is solid, Micah Owings should be a year better) and will get Randy Johnson back in the next couple of weeks. I think Arizona is the favorite to win the NL West.

The Indians bullpen is very good, until you get to Borowski. He gave up a grand slam to blow a save to Torri Hunter tonight.

For the Angles, Francisco Rodriguez left the game with an injury....better check on that tomorrow.

Both the Cardinals and the Rangers starting pitchers are off to great starts....don't expect either to continue.

The Giants can't hit for crap....just in case you didn't know.
