First of all, I screwed up the title of the thread. Should read, "How many have stopped gambling online in the last year".

I for one have not put any money into a book since last September. 2 reasons really.

1) Getting money in and out is such a pain in the ass now. It was so much easier when deposits and payouts were made through my checking account. I tried the whole gift card crap a few times last September, then all of the sudden they wouldnt accept them anymore. Havent tried to put money in since.

2) Its just seems too damn risky now. Money has become so tight for many of us that it just isnt worth the risk of losing it to any of the many complications that the online gambling industry has faced the past 2 years.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones that lives within a 4 hour drive to Vegas to get my fix every couple of months. I would love to get back "in the game" so to speak. But just dont feel comfortable doing it yet.

Anyone else feel the same?

I could easily see the most recreational small players that always lose anyway, giving it up.

That would seem to hit certain books hard:

Bodog
SIA

It sure can't help a whole bunch of others as well.

Going from depositing with neteller with a few clicks of the mouse to sending money via WU or any of the other inconvenient methods necessary now, is like trading in your car for a bus pass. Yeah you will get there, but you will get tired of that bus really quick...To answer the question. No I have not stopped betting offshore but my deposits have decreased about 90% since neteller went away.

I was betting every night before Neteller, and haven't bet a dime since.

When Pinny closed down for US customers, I didn't reload anywhere for about ten months and have had no problem betting, depositing or getting paid since then.
