Why Not Foul Up 3??

When are these idiot coaches going to learn you foul up 3. Should fouled Collins in the backcourt.

I don't care if you tackle the guy in the act, making 3 shots vs is 1 is always tougher.

not a good idea fouling up 3. gives the team a chance after free throws to organize themselves and steal the inbounds for win/tie. id rather have the 10-15 percent chance the 3 would go in over a greater chance of losing the game off a turnover on the other side of the court.

Are you kidding, you are assuming he makes the 1st free throw. Then he would probably have to miss the 2nd time.

If he makes it, they still have to steal it.

that decision was questionable, but not outright horrible.... but fouling in ot down by 3 with plenty of time left is absolutely ridiculous

He only gets 2 shots if you foul him before he shoots.

I stated this in another thread.. You are completely right, some players today are just stupid it drives me nuts.. I also hate when teams are down 4 with like 30 seconds left and they launch up a stupid three when they could have a free layup.. TAKE THE POINTS, make the other team knock down free throws

Only in hoops.............every other sports you would not get as much controversy at the end of a game.
