saves too....I have not seen any threads on this but holy crap did Milwaukee make a big mistake signing this piece of shit. He should be profusely thanking his teammates for winning the games he is blowing saves. 11 million for this turd...I hope they have an escape clause because he will be cut within a month.

I am a lifelong Brew Crew fan and the team is really good, but letting Cordero go because they could not pony up 1 extra million a year and then sign Mr Baggy was hopefully not a mistake that loses them a chance for the playoffs..

and LOOK AT THIS QUOTE

"It's a lot easier to go sleep tonight," Gagne said. "It's going to make me go from not sleeping to sleeping."

WTF...you are paid 11 million a year to do one thing and you are doing it VERY badly. This guy needs a reality check.

Go to the journal/sentianl online and there is an article about Cordero about what happened right before Thanksgiving last year. Interesting read. IMO I don't think Cordero has 4 years left in him.

I do agree about the amount they paid for Gagne. Hopefully he gets back on HGH (joke).

Gagne was a stiff last year in boston, and this team should have never given his this type of money. There was other options.

I dont know why they dont give Mota a chance to close, the guy has thrown pretty good so far, but i guess when you paid all this money u have to stick with it for at least a month.

I have been impressed with Riske to be honest. I can guarantee they are figuring out which direction to go because Gagne is not it.

And another wild thing--I forgot Capuano is on the DL..Their pitching is surprisingly good...SO FAR>>

Also remember that the crew will get Gallardo back very soon and will probably send Bush tothe pen where I think he is more effective. Hopefully he proves me wrong tonight...

as a Reds fan, I think I'm on the complete opposite side of this post. %^_

I have a question though, as a fellow NL central person, do you ever feel our division gets absolutely NO credit? I'm not saying its the best, but I still think it doesn't get any credit. Maybe it would be best for the Cubs to run away with it every year since they are the biggest market, but damn, whether its the Cards winning it, Stro's in the series, or whatever, no one seems to care. The next year to start the year its always the "worst division in baseball" no argument.

I agree. None of these teams are sexy. Fans like to share in Cubs misery is about it. I could care less what people in Philadelphia or NY think about our division. I just want to win and everything else will take care of itself..Let the Brew Crew win the WS and have it the lowest rated WS ever and I could care less. I personally am very bored with the NL East

Dude get a clue, Yost put him in for the 4th day in a row.
Yost blew that save, not Gagne. Do more research before you complain about stuff, he's been pretty effective since he blew that save vs Cinci a few weeks back......he never should have been in the game yesterday.

Hit that one on the head. My friends and I were shaking our heads when Yost put him in. Can't expect a closer to keep pitching day after day....

I agree.

Gagne was hosed by being overworked.

He's back in the closers role where he feels all cozy inside, he'll be fine this year.

And by fine, I mean Joe Borowski esque.

A lot of saves, a lot of strike outs, a lot of hiccups mixed inbetween.

Solid 2nd or 3rd option on a Fantasy team, thankfully he's my fourth closer.

He should not have been in that game. Other than the opening day collapse he was been great.

The blown safe against cinci a few weeks ago shouldnt even count. Patterson's solo shot to tie it was a pop up at a real ball park.
