The Yankees don't expect to have Derek Jeter (quad) back before the series against the Red Sox beginning on Friday.
"It's hard to say," manager Joe Girardi said. "He probably won't play in this series, and we'll shoot for the Red Sox series. We'll see where he's at after a couple of days and try to make a real evaluation. ... We feel that it's not going to be two weeks. We're hoping sometime in the Boston series he'll be ready, but we'll have to see how he progresses." Wilson Betemit will play shortstop tonight. Girardi said moving Alex Rodriguez to shortstop is something that hasn't been discussed.

I have to agree with billhill here. Yankees definitely have the potential to win this game, because Buchholz shouldn't be much trouble. But with Jeter, Giambi, and Posada all banged up a little, its best to just lay off these marquee match-ups. Crazy shit always happens between these two teams, and you'll pull more hair out then make money usually.
