The Lakeshow looks exceptional tonight, they really came out and made a huge statement in the 1st quarter. Blowing out the Clippers early last night and being able to rest all the starters for the entire 4th quarter was huge. I wasn't so impressed with the Lakers as I was disappointed with the Hornets in the 1st half. They let Lakers players penetrate with ease. Part of the problem with the Hornets was that they were getting many quality shots in the 1st half, they just weren't falling. It wasn't a result of good Lakers defense.
Of course we saw in the 2nd half that the Hornets adjusted their defense and were able to get their shots to fall. The Lakers may have held off the Hornets but they blew a 30 point lead. I'm not impressed with that even though they got the win.

no matter how they got it a 30 pt lead against the # 1 seed in the west was very impressive. in the 2nd half, human nature took over as no played harder and lal let up. very common occurance, especially in the nba. lal announcers said at start of 3rd q that they rather lakers have a 10 pt lead than a 20 pt lead.
