If indeed you have played the course, how did you get on?

Myself and a friend were talking about ways you can play Augusta National. I guess the first way would be to know a member and have them take you. Another way I thought of getting on was bribing one of the media lottery winners. I know guys from the media can get in a lottery every 5 years to play the course. I am sure one of those guys who have played it before would sell their pass if you threw 5k at them. Any other ideas of how you would get on?

One of my things to do before I pass, but highly unlikely...I think we all have better chances to attend the Masters than to play...Golfers here like G.Money, Bellyputter, and a few others can give some great advise on how to play Augusta..

Viking611 played it. Don't know exactly how he got on, but it was with his MLB player friends.

I took my pop there 4 days ago,,, it is simply remarkably beautiful,,, it is the most manicured views,,, and the fairways and greens both are perfeect,,,

the funny thing is when you are there seeing the "TRUE" layout of each whole,,,lol,,, thats neat to see,, they go out of ther eway to set up everyshot as to make it look completely isolated.

never played it,,, but I would love to one day,,,

I tried to play Augusta once. Apparently you're supposed to get "approval" to play there. Southern hospitality my ass.

Hell of a lot better courses to play that this over rated one.

I think Not....day in an day out, there is not a better manicured course in the US in my opinion. There Grounds Budget would make you Puke, They have the best of everything on the planet...I am sure Bellyputter can speak to this as well.

I got to play it in 1999 about a month before the tournament. As far as this comment goes:

<TABLE class=tborder style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px" cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=thead colSpan=2>04-13-2008 04:06 PM</TD></TR><TR title="Post 5295754" vAlign=top><TD class=alt1 align=middle width=125>Brock Landers</TD><TD class=alt2>Hell of a lot better courses to play that this over rated one. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I would expect someone with Rail's golf IQ to make such a ludicrous statement.

I've been on hundreds of courses around the world and so have others, and I bet each and every golfer would give their left nut to play Augusta...Brock, just because you see it on TV, the slopes and hills of Agusta, not to mention the greens, are treacherous...whatever you shot at Whistling Straits or Wolf Creek, add anothe 5 or so shots to Agusta....
