AL Lines:

Texas -130, 9.5 Pk
ChW -130, U9 -130
Seattle -145, O9 -115
Detroit -130, U9.5 -114
Balt Pk, 9 Pk
Boston -110, O10 -115
NYY -115, 9 Pk

AL Bets:

I laid off Seattle and the Bos/Cle over due to large line moves going the other way off the openers.

LA of A/Texas Under 10.5 -115
Pitchers: Moseley/Millwood

Kind of a scary game to play an under on since I know what both teams are capable of. That being said, Texas isn't hitting well and Moseley is a solid enough pitcher to experience success. The Angels are hitting but Millwood is pitching out of jams very well and has had nice success against the Angels in the past. This one doesn't feel that great but based on value alone I have to go with it.

Baltimore Orioles +120
Pitchers: Marcum/Trachsel

Marcum is throwing very nicely and all but Baltimore is showing they still have an offense that will put up a couple of runs every game no matter what. That might be all they need. As crappy of a pitcher as Trachsel is, he's a smart veteran and the Blue Jays have had issues hitting him the last couple of years. If he throws good ball like he's shown in the past against Toronto, this is a 50/50 game at +120.

Some NL lines:

Arizona -115, U8.5 -112
Philly -115, 9.5 Pk
NYM -160, O9 -120
AtL Pk, 9 Pk

Laying off the Atlanta/Florida Under due to early line moves.

SF Giants +120
Pitchers: Correia/Owings

These pitchers are very even in terms of what you should expect in success this season. Owings does add another bat to the lineup but it's not worth 20 cents. SF is hitting a little bit at home lately as well. This one is gonna be close. Another 50/50 game at +120. You will see me take alot of small dogs this year if I think they have a 50% chance to win the game.

Houston Astros +140
Pitchers: Chacon/Eaton

I like this one quite a bit. Neither guy should have a ton of success but both have had good starts to their seasons. The main difference here is that these guys are in a tiny park where home runs play a big factor in determining who wins. Eaton is a guy who gives up alot of homers, while Chacon almost never gives them up. I like my odds.

Dice: The wind is even blowing in at close to 20 MPH in that one. It had everything I wanted including getting the best line and the wind, but it just doesn't look like it'll happen.

PS, laying off the Cubs/Reds game. Wind is blowing out and I want to see how Dempster looks with the wind issues at Wrigley before I do anything.

More NL Lines:

StL -133, U9.5 -113
SD -120, U9 -125
LAD -160, O9 -112

More NL Bets:

Colorado Rockies +111
Pitchers: Jiminez/Wolf

50/50 game at +111. Going to be profitable in the longterm. Jiminez had some success against the Padres last year and SD doesn't have a good offense. He has a chance to dominate here. Wolf has looked good and should enjoy his spacious new home park and all, but the Rockies are a team that can hit lefties and Wolf is sporadic at best. This one could go either way.

Pittsburgh Pirates +170
Pitchers: Morris/Kuo

I really can't believe I am betting on Matt Morris here. The guy is crap. That being said, the Dodgers aren't hitting great and Morris will enjoy pitching in one of the better pitchers' parks and will hopefully turn in a decent game. Kuo is an interesting prospect but he's had very limited MLB success and is another guy who you never really know what you are going to get. At +170, I'll take a shot on him throwing badly.
