10-9 +.31 units ytd

Diamondbacks (-131) 1 unit....I've rode them quite a few times this year, talked myself out of it yesterday thankfully, but gonna take them to rebound tonight. Obviously like Owings a lot and he put a stop to AZ's only other 2 game skid earlier this year against Colorado. SF bats are weak so I won't pass this up. Lots of people on the DBacks here, so take it for what its worth...

Braves (-108) 1 unit....Olsen hasn't fared well against the Braves in the past and threw a career high 120 pitches last time out against the Nats. Jurrjens has pretty decent stuff and good control, mostly a fastball/changeup guy. Marlins stranding lots of runners right now, getting runs from homers. Like the Braves to put up some runs on Olsen as they usually do.

thanks douglas, that sounds like a good one as well

Royals (+122) 1 unit at Matchbook....just can't trust the Mariners right now. Lots of hitters under-performing and the bullpen is vulnerable with Putz out. Bale was half way impressive against the Yankees and while he let up 10 hits against the Twins, 7 were on the ground and 3 didnt leave the infield.

Royals/Mariners UNDER 8.5 (-110) 1 unit...don't usually like to play a side and total in the same game, but the Royals bats haven't scored more than 5 runs in a game so far this season and as a team have been an under machine. This game wreaks of a 4-2 type of final

adding one last play to complete this crappy day

Dodgers over 9 (+105) 1 unit....I just see a high scoring game here, don't like Matt Morris, and do like Pittsburgh's offense. Hoping for 13 or so in this one.

You may be right, d. I made the mistake of going back and watching him pitch against the Yanks and I guess my eyes deceived me. Didn't see todays game but if I had to guess he was probably leaving everything up in the zone. Not good with only a high 80s fastball.

this is for Wednesday...

Diamondbacks (-170) for 3 units.....will probably be one of my bigger bets of the year, and I usually won't lay this type of juice. But Webb will be a man among boys on the field against the Giants hitters on Wednesday. He's had good success against them in the past and at AT&T park. Zito...well he's Zito and if he throws those weak fastballs over the plate Arizona's bats will make him pay.

Not what I like to hear, D. I trust Webb a lot though, especially against poor hitting teams. Keeping the ball on the ground and less homers takes away the equalizer (kind of like the 3 pt shot in NCAAB, to a lesser degree of course). This is a noon game at AT&T also.

Webb has been terrific early in the year in his career and the AZ bats are blazing hot, best run differential by a longshot in the majors right now. Of course, the DBacks lost 12 out of 36 of Webb's starts last year, so they aren't invincible....we'll see.

Douglas...sorry to hear that. Thats how baseball season goes a lot of the time. Last year I had at least one ten game winning streak and one ten game losing streak. Staying patient is the hardest part about this.

record after Tuesday...12-12 -.82 units

I really like the Webb here as well. Although -170 is a lot of juice to lay.

What're your thoughts on the runline? Webb has won by larger numbers and Zito has lost by larger numbers so far this year and I'm considering it.

If I wasn't already locked in with the money line I would certainly consider it, saves you lots of juice in case something goes wrong. If you can live with a loss because they only won by a run, I would go for it.

Looking good - Didn't realize this was a day game either, truly believe that worked in your favor today. Solid play - hope they hang on for you. Glad I saved my $ by not betting on SF today, maybe I'll wait until I attend a couple games in 2 weeks so I have something to cheer for.

Thanks, if I had to do it again, I would probably have played the -1. Webb was dominant and had some incredibly easy innings, but he could have been better. Zito wasn't too terrible either, besides the four walks in the second inning.

Probably done for the day.
