ok not really. Got more of a question about it. Here is the scenario:

Lets say someone created a ghost: Clevelandsportsguy..... or something like that.

Then they log in and make a post in therx saying that Lebron is injured. They make up a story how they know so and so who knows the real story. They claim it will not be leaked to the press until right before the team starts to warm up. Lets say that no one can find out any info on it, but no one can disprove it either. Line has been stale most of the day.

My question is this:

Would this move the line just by posting that in therx?
if yes by how much would that rumor move the line?

guess I am kinda bored tonight....

the line wouldn't move unless it was the other way. nobody on this forum is moving anything unless its from their ass.

a line will not move because of anything on this site or any other site for that matter. These books can care less as to who is posting what on these forums.

The posting would have no effect I of course agree there. I am talking about people willing to take a shot on the info, and thus moving the line that way. I have seen people bet on teams for just as dumb reasons.

"Sharp" money will move a line considerably. Or an injury report from a reliable source might. And I wouldn't expect any "sharps" to bet based on a rumor spread over the internet. Plus the fact that it comes from a new poster in a forum... Not personal, but dumb question.
