Good to have bases back, it's fun to bet on a sport you actually know something more than the casual fan does! :toast::toast:

One play in so far a two team money line parlay.

Mets -210 \ Indians -170

1 unit to win 1.3 units

I generally don't do many parlays, but if I see two money lines that aren't touchable on their own, I will combine the two for plus money once in a while. I've had fairly good results with this in the past.

Leans:
--Seattle but their pen worries me quite a bit... terrible so far. 7.3 ERA on the road so far for their pen, not too quality. That said, I like Hernandez over Blanton. The book I'm using right now does not have 5 inning lines otherwise I would put it in.

--Over 10 runs Houston\Philly Both pitchers have had problems to start the year, and I don't expect that to stop now. Oswalt, in my opinion, is playing through an injury despite him saying he is healthy. I have not checked but it seems to me he has slow starts fairly often.

--Over 9.5 run Chicago White Sox\Baltimore Again, neither pitcher has started out well and Chicago has had a fair amount of games they score 5+ in the past few weeks. Baltimore hasn't been scoring as much, but I expect them to get to Contreas.

--DBacks should get a good outting from Shields tomorrow in Baltimore. Hernandez has been pretty good, but I expect him to come back to earth a bit soon. His ERA is a full two points below his last year ERA and that can't last forever. The Backs have have done well against him in the past.

Looking for some opinions before I place bets.

Arizona -170 Three Units.

Hate doing this, but I just can't find a reason why Arizona loses this game. I really can't. Laying huge chalk sucks, but in the end I think I win more often than not on these plays.

Oswalt complained of having "dead arm"
Now in baseball you hear this a lot. Either a guy pitches thru it...or they skip him on a start or two.

Oswalt seems to still have that problem.
He is 0-3 and an ERA of 9.00.
But it goes back a little farther then that. This is from the local rag before the season started.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The way the pitching staff has struggled this spring, the Astros can’t afford many outings like Wednesday by ace righthander Roy Oswalt.

Oswalt didn’t make it out of the fourth inning, and a late rally by the Astros fell short in a 7-6 loss to the Cleveland Indians.

Oswalt allowed five runs (one earned) and nine hits in 3 2/3 innings. He was chased after allowing two doubles and a triple during a three-run fourth inning.

"Overall it didn't go great," Oswalt said. "My last two starts I've had a little dead arm. My arm actually feels pretty good as far as recovery."

In his final two spring starts, Oswalt allowed nine runs (five earned) and 19 hits over 8 2/3 innings.

If you look at the line on the sides. Well it's set for a pitcher that is 4-1 / 5-1 vs a team.
But if you look at the total. It's set for a guy with dead arm.

:dancefool:dancefool:dancefool So far so good today, up close to three units with several others in play. That said, I think I'll add another unit to Over 9 Runs Scored NYY\Boston
