YTD: 10-11;

Rays under 9.5 -116
This will be Niemann's second start in the MLB tomorrow. He won his first game on Sunday against the Orioles when he pitched 6 good innings. The first inning, being his first start ever showed some tension and being nervous; only to settle down for the next 5 innings pretty easily. Feel it will take some hitters a few scouting reports in the majors to get use to his curveball and should have a good advantage tomorrow vs the White Sox. Rays offense has been good at times, yet inconsistent. They score big in 1 inning, yet go on a drought for 10 straight. Frustating.

Vazquez has pretty much owned the Rays over his career. I don't have the official stats on me, but know he has been solid over his career against my Rays. Vazquez has gotten out to a decent start so far with a 2-1 record with a 3.74 era. He has 21 K in 19 IP so far this season as well.

Only concern for me, is the splits so far on Vazquez.

Vs righties: 12/33 6 rbi's .364 average
Vs lefties: 5/39 1 rbi .128 average

Rays will use a lot of lefties, but again have showed inconsistenties of scoring runs.

GL to all tomorrow.

All good here....Pena might be questionable after leaving Thursday's game.

Vazquez has traditionally been a guy that doesn't mow one side or the other, but early going suggest this could be a good spot for Gomes to DH if Hinske has to play 1B

DRays bullpen fully available save for Howell and Sox have just been unimpressive offensively this season.

Should be a good crowd as well.

Don't know if you got to see any of Niemann's first start, but he is without a doubt the fastest worker I've seen in a long time.

Receives the throw from catcher, steps right to the rubber, leans in for like two seconds to focus on the sign and then cranks.

urp...a check of Vazquez splits shows you mistakenly inverted them.

LH are the ones wacking at .364, righties .128

But past couple seasons, he's very balanced at about .250 to .260

So let's use the Wheels lineup and steal four or five bases.....
