Hey guys. im new to the gambling world.

Im just wondering what the term 'units' stands for and how it connects with how you go about betting?

How exactly do the posters here who record their results go about calculating their profit/loss through this 'unit' strategy?

In order to be successful and disciplined in sports betting you should establish a specific amount of money that you will wager on each game. This amount is known as a unit. It can vary from person to person. One person's unit may consist of $100 and another person can have $500 per unit.

The most important thing in unit size is how it relates to your overall bankroll.
In order to be able to withstand losing streaks, you should make each unit size anywhere from 2-4% of your overall bankroll.

Hope that helps.

It's really just an amount of money you choose to display how much your betting on a game.

Most people will use units 1-5 for the strength of their play and each unit may be $10, $100, $100, ect. Whatever you choose to bet.
