Use whatever you want to select the Best player.... We hear people bicker over MVP and what it means, best overall player, best player for their team..... etc..

Just imagine someone walked up to you and said tell me the best player in the NBA today..... who would come to mind first?

Who do you think is more important to winning? A one on one scoring guard or small forward or a dominant big man that controls the paint in all aspects of the game? Since 1999 two players have played in EVERY finals - I wonder who those two players are? I will say that Kobe is so big time that his name can be mentioned in the same breath as Duncans.

Lebron James - hahaha - I was a effing witness - it was 11 months ago that Bowen was playing 6 feet off of him, laughing and daring him to pull the trigger - as he nervously hucked up bricks

I saw him dunk today and I was quite certain that his eyes were looking down through the rim - but he's still David Robinson until he does something meaningful in the playoffs other than one game versus the Pistons - getting in the finals by default and then getting treated like bait is not an accomplishment

How did I know there would be alot of kiddies in here swinging from Kobe's nuts? Kobe's great and champion - he is the reason TD does not have 7 rings - but I can guarantee you not one GM would start a team with Kobe of Tim - not one

that is your opinion. It is not even fair to compare who Duncan has had around him the last few years compared to Kobe...

but yes I completely agree. I would put Kobe and Duncan well above the next best player. The next best player imo beyond that is Garnett, I have always liked his style of play and he has demonstrated even among GREAT players he is still the one everyone looks too.

You forget us beating LA with a nervous and frozen Parker on the bench with Claxon in a PG

Kobe is way up in the poll and he should be because he is the best player in the NBA.

Gotta go with LeBron. Been following him close since he came into the league.
There is no possible way anyone can be a better player than this guy. I think he actually improved a lot this year, and I think he can and will improve. Kobe and Duncan are fantastic, of course. But I think they've topped out with all their skills. Plus, I think LeBron has the intensity and intangibles that Kobe is noted for. I think LeBron and Kobe are real close. LeBron himself says that Kobe is better. But if I had to pick one guy to start a team, it would be LeBron. Btw, Chris Paul is getting right up there with those guys.
