People are going to pick Boston because they have been winning a lot lately. ANd that is 100% accurate make no mistake about it.

haha how are we supposed to argue against that, like Royals fans are going to be obnoxious arrogant, yet woefully ignorant fucks when they're losing? No, that ability only comes hand in hand with a winning city or a city with a winning tradition usually.

Don't remember people bitching about Bronco fans when Denver was winning a couple of Super Bowls back to back or when the Avs were winning Cups. Oh, that's right, that's because they didn't act like a bunch of a-holes after they tasted victory.

Boston fans would probably be the most close-lipped group of fans alive if their sports talk radio shows closed shop because then 95% of their fan base wouldn't have anyone to feed them their phrases and lines and statistics and names.

Great assessment D. I was thinking the same thing as I read tom's post...he's already concluded that Boston will win the poll because of the "jealousy" vote. So then is it his contention that any city whose teams experience a stretch of winning will become a haven of arrogance? You already gave a great example to refute that belief.

Anytime i get in a sports debate with a Boston fan, that obnoxious New England accent starts coming out of their mouths...even though the rest of the time they have no accent. That alone is reason to put them at the top of the list.

People always get annoyed at winners.

If the Yankees were winning, I'm sure that New York
would be at the top of the list.

There are good and bad fans for every city.

I hate LA and NY teams, but I have good friends who are fans.

That's what makes the world go 'round.

Boston is dominating right now in a lot of sports. Just the facts. Some have class and can deal with it. Some are medium (like me). Some have no class and are a joke...we have more than a few right here. You can't be bothered with classless hateful people. Domination baby!

I hated the whole we havent won in 86 years thing when 1) nobody i heard use that damn arguement had been a live more then 22 years 2) the Celtics won in the 80s, the Pats just won 3 of 4 super bowls in a 7 year span but still had to hear about the damn red sox losing.

Thats when it gets really annoying.

I don't know any more obnoxious than when we hosted the Raiders once every 8 years at Candlestick Park.

It was like a freak show!

Having been to upteen playoff games an thats when the opposing teams come to our park in force(Ca. being a melting pot)I'd say the Cowboy fans were the most anal and the Packer fans were actually good people.

Boston & Chicago

With New York running third.

Boston did the unthinkable, made NY the lovable underdod in the Super Bowl. Now that is hard.

Here's another question - Which city has the most passionate fans? It would be Chicago, New York, and Boston/Philly.

Nationally I'd say that Boston fans are the most annoying, but around here, Cub fans are plentiful and always cocky regardless of how the Cubs are doing. I often get shit from Cub fans for wearing a Brewer hat IN WISCONSIN. Around here, the Brewer-Cub rivalry goes deeper than just baseball. It's a reflection of the hatred a lot of people from Wisconsin have for Illinois, as rich Chicagoans come up here every summer pulling $75,000 boats behind Cadillacs yet despite choosing to vacation here regularly and buying cabins on our lakes, constantly tell us how much our state sucks and how much better Chicago is. If Chicago's so much better then why the hell do you come up here every chance you get?? Stay down there, we don't want you here... Sons of bitches.
