yep he's gone. Another debacle courtesy of GM JP Richardi and co. If it wasn't for this idiot and the manager the Jays would be a true contender. Even despite these clowns they may do good things this year.

Story is Frank was due 10 million for next season if he hit 370 something AB's. Frank starts in mini slump and they realize he's slowing down and they try to demote him to a part time player to save 10 million and at least get some production. Frank has none of it and now the Jays are forced to throw away 9 million without a lick of production.

Way to sign an aging bum after a big year JP. This is what you get.

Hope he lands somewhere, he should do well.

Kind of the same market type as BARRy (with less baggage unbelievably, less of a drawing card and circus though) but much cheaper as I assume the JAYS will P/U much of the tab here.

Pickup the tab? The Jays outright released him, they have to pay him the whats left on his contract.

If Frank signs with another team its another payday...,isn't it?

I seem to remember there being some clause that the Jays would be responsible for anything above what another team pays him. But the other team will pay him league minimum and bonuses to get around that, so the Jays will almost certainly have to pay his full salary minus the pro rata league minimum

Then what's the incentive for him to play?

Why are they forced? Can't he play PT? If he refuses to play PT, does he get paid?
