In 1925, George Sisler of the St. Louis Browns set a big league mark by hitting safely in 34 consecutive games (April 14 through May 25) to open the season.

The Pirates still have a team?[/quote

Of course they do. They have monster hitters in their lineup.

#3 Hitter Bay
#4 Hitter Adam Laroche

Might be the worst 3/4 in MLB.

I dont think they are bad players per say, they simply just arent clutch and are way tooooooooooo soft for my liking. THey go about their business as if their heads are up their asses. Then when they struggle or slump it makes them look that much worse.

But they're one of the top money makers in baseball, thanks to the Bud Selig Welfare System that allows teams to spend $150-200 million.
