What happens to this wager if both teams are eliminated in the first round, with one series lasting four games and the other five? Would it be a push or would the team that lasted the most games win?

From Olympic sportsbook...

1. Basketball Futures - 2007-08 NBA Futures
Team to Advanced Furthest in Playoff
Dallas Mavericks vs Houston Rockets
Dallas Mavericks (-140) [pending]

I have the same wager which I made the minute Yao Ming got hurt.

The prior post is FALSE as to how it will be graded. If neither team gets out of the 1st round, the tiebreaker is HOW MANY GAmES each team wins. So, Dallas has a slight adv right now with Houston having dropped a home game

Do you have the exact wording of the tiebreaker rule?

I am thinking of hedging out of the bet, but not sure how that could be
done, if i decide to do it.

And would not want to be middled against myself as a result of incorrect
info re the grading of this event.

Unfortunately with this book, the "fine print" is not in the pending wagers section. However, I even called for clarification before the playoffs started and had this reaffirmed as well as the fact that if one of the teams didn't make the playoffs, the bet would still have action.

You could hedge by betting on Houston or against Dallas in individual games (or doing both). If Houston loses tomorrow night, they will likely be swept. Even if Dallas goes down 2-0, they have beaten NO 10 straight home games.

i remember seeing these wagers on the Greek, it said clearly, that the tiebreaker would be the # of games that a series went

I thought i had read that as well, MrCleo, but wasn't sure, and it is not
stated on my present pending wager. But the posts here give me a
certainty as to the specifics of this bet. BTW i believe there was a
thread here in Offshore sometime ago on this offering at Olympic that
may also confirm the rules. But couldn't find it via a search.

Whormoan, you make good points in favor of hanging onto this ticket.
It looks a lot better now than after the Rockets winning streak or when
Dirk was injured & the Mavs in danger of missing the dance. Given the
odds on the two series the bookies would also make the Mavs a strong
favorite now.
