Horrendous Sunday. That's what yesterday was. The Indians gave Paul Byrd's gem just 1 frickin' runs worth of support. I don't care how good Scott Baker was, that was a pitiful display of offense.
What made the day worse was how two of our losers from Saturday totally stuck it to us on Sunday. First we start off with the Reds. We had them Saturday, they were down by 2 runs on Saturday in the 10th and lost. On Sunday, they were again down by 2 runs in the 10th, but this time they came all the way back and won the game.
Then we turn our attention to the White Sox. They were a play of our's on Saturday and they got blanked 5-0. On Sunday they comeback and shut out the Rays 6-0.
Are you kidding me?? The gambling gods are sticking it in our faces!

That is why we will stick it back in their faces today, Monday April 21st, 2008, Redemption Monday! If we don't win at least 3 units today, you all get my picks for the rest of the month at absolutely no cost! We got our two 3-unit Games of the Month, Patriot's Day total play, and a few nuggets on the side as well. We will win! We better win! Fuck carrots! I leave you with the 3 words that made us winners last night...

how the hell are you going to have two game of the months, the day after a game of the year?? that just doesnt even make sense. So, yesterday's play is the GOY but not the best game in its own month.

And

How can you have two Game of the Months? Isnt that an oxymoron?

Game of the Month means it is better than any other game in that month. It isnt equal.

Unreal how we were 1.5 runs away from a 4-0-1 day

They say all these 1-run games are supposed to even out by the end of the year, I sure hope so because I feel like im 0 for 10 in 1-run games just in the last week!
Loved that Dodgers play and am very disappointed in Matt Chico's performance. Was expecting at least a quality start (6 ip, 3 er) from him. Cubs won easily. Red Sox, part of my 1-run debacle. Actually this was a 1/2 run debacle and that 11th run was scored in the top of the 9th w/ 2 outs and 2 strikes on the hitter. Consistently good relief pitching is a lost art in baseball huh? Bring back the Eck! Bring back Goose!
