If you dont mind answering these questions then please do so.....

Iv'e always wondered about touting......at least the few of them who try to do it on the up and up...... if that even exists.

I considered it myself years ago but didnt feel like dealing with irate callers after a loser, death threats, chargebacks, and all of the other legal BS, etc........

I was just wondering how often you guys have to deal with this stuff?

Also, the one guy I spoke to from another forum a few years ago who touted told me he brings in about $20,000 extra a year from his touting service (He still worked a full time job and had a wife and kids). He was very small time he said with a small number of clients, but he said it isn't even worth the BS he has to put up with either.

Just was wondering how you guys do for yourselves.

Worked for a company for 7+ years and just had my four year anniversary of when we were busted. At the time it was the greatest job I could ever imagine, but that is coming from a 20 something year old who did not have any morals and a mother who had cancer and I needed to be able to make enough to support her. My best year, I made 450k+ and it was great! I can not say I would never get back into it, but I would never do the things that enabled you to make that amount of cash again. I remember, I went through a very rough time and began to try to get a better relationship with Jesus, but then felt worse about asking for his forgiveness and waking up the next day and doing the same thing. The money is hard to pass up and I really think that no other tout company will ever be busted unless they get too close to the offshore sportsbook, but it is still really difficult with some of the things that happens to people when they do lose.

True story: Had a guy who I went 11-0 for and when the 12th game lost, he got CRUSHED and actually got divorced and lost his job over it. Guy was 11-1 and lost his wife and job because of basically me.

Being a tout sucks, but being a handicapper who actually has the best interests of the clients in his heart can not be all bad.

Believe what you want, but most has all been posted here as to what happened. Do you think the DOJ confiscates 9 million from people who are working for minimum wage?

The Sweepstakes business is booming down here in CR, the only difference between a boiler room and with a touting scam is that the tout's mark has a 50/50 shot of winning the first bet.

No doubt in my mind that those boiler room scam services can rip off $500K/millions+ a year like that, but I was wondering about the smaller handicappers who get monitored and try to do things legit.

I don't understand how it works. If the people are losing why would they keep paying for picks. And with the internet posting picks, why would people pay for them?

"Theres a sucker born every minute" or "A fool and his money soon parted". I think either one of these popular saying would answer your question.
