Adding a second book this week so I'll be able to line shop a little bit away from Bookmaker lines. I love Bookmaker but having two books will improve my lines quite a bit. I went with 5Dimes for anyone interested. The MMA stuff pushed me over the edge on adding them as a second place. Hopefully I'll be ready to go in a few days there.

For instance, I'd be all over the Cubs at -134 at 5Dimes today. Bookmaker has -150 and has a very nice line on the Mets as a dog, but that doesn't help me since I don't like the Mets today...

Bets:

Dodgers/Reds Under 9 -110
Pitchers: Penny/Belisle

Brad Penny has dominated the Reds the last few years and they just can't touch him. Combine that with the fact that the Reds can't touch lesser pitchers right now and you have a nice bet. The Dodgers can't hit on the road for some reason and Belisle is solid if unspectacular. He's looked very nice in his rehab starts and LAD just isn't hitting well either. Gotta like the under since it's likely the Reds only score a run or two at most.

Atlanta/Washington Under 8.5 +105
Washington +165

Pitchers: Hudson/Chico

Hudson always dominates the Nats. They can't hit him. Chico always domiantes the Braves. They can't hit him. Washington has a better pen here IMO. Worth a dog bet in what should be a low scoring game.

San Diego +135
SD/Houston Under 8.5 -105

Pitchers: Germano/Oswalt

Roy started off like crap but he looked great last time out and said he discovered and fixed a minor flaw in his delivery and he should be good to go. Germano has dealt so far this year. Neither team can hit. SD has the bullpen edge. Gotta like the dog and the under again.

Philadelphia/Colorado Over 10.5 -105
Pitchers: Kendrick/Redman

Kendrick, even when he was having success his first time around the league last year, always struggled with the Rockies. Colorado doesn't hit on the road but at home they should be able to put up a good amount of runs. I know Rollins is out for Philly and that kinda hurts the over but it's not like Redman is a great pitcher. He got rocked extremely hard by the Phillies last year and they have too much potential not to start mashing soon. I like this one.

SF Giants +175
Pitchers: Correia/Owings

I know Owings is pitching great and all but some regression to the mean is due before too long and this is the second time SF has seen him lately so they should be a little more clued in. Why I really like this bet is because Correia is throwing great and should keep his team in the ballgame. He really deserved better in his last start against Zona.
