The Dolphins have reached an agreement with former Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long on a five-year, $57.5 million contract that includes $30 million in guaranteed money, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.
Fully expect Dolphins to move Jason Taylor on draft day. Rumors have him going to Jax for their 1st rounder. Dolphins need bodies and will draft a DL on the first day too.

Being a Dolphin fan, I hope they got this right. Not convinced he will be able to play left tackle and if he can't then not worthy of this high a pick. Hopefully he can.

Your either joking or your an OSU fan. Jake Long gave up 1 sack in 13 games last year. Yes it was to gholston but 1 sack all year is pretty decent. On top of that he only commited 1 penalty in 13 games. He gave up a whole 2 sacks in his entire career. And I'm pretty sure his career included alot of big games.
did you watch the Mich/ Florida game where he went against another high draft pick in Derrick Harvey. Michigan's entire running game that day consisted of Mike Hart running to his left right behind Jake Long.
long is, at least imo, better than joe thomas.
and if he has anywhere near the rookie season thomas did, the dolphins will have made a great selection.

Long is more physical than Thomas but his lateral movement isn't as good as Joe Thomas. Long is a safe pick. There is pretty good odds that when a tackle is taken this high he turns into a pretty good player.
