What was your toughest loss?

So what was your toughest loss? It doesn't have to be your largest.

Everyone's had bad beats, impossible outcomes.


Mine was the '08 NBA All Star Rookie Challenge (Frosh Soph) Game. I had under 244.5. They only play 20 minutes halves with no defense in the game. I figure the public will be on the over. Daniel Gibson ends up hitting 11 three's in the game and about 30 points are scored the last 3 minutes. Uncontested layup after another. Game ends and I lose by a half. I must have starred at the TV for 10 minutes trying to find myself. I quit gambling for a few months after that.

On the other end, I had a miracle hit in that 22 inning SD/Col game. I had over 23.5 RunHitsErrors. Finally went over in the 17-18th. It was at 9 through 10 innings.

Had Utah (I think) in college football, covering the spread into the 4th quarter by 22-23, other team comes back and scores 3 unanswered TDs converting on all attempted 2 pc's.

You bet enough on a rookie All-Star game to make you quit gambling?

I've written about this before but I'll repeat it here. I had the over 2 1/2 goals for a Columbian soccer match. I followed the whole match on futbol24.com. It makes a noise when a goal is scored and this went well over.

Some retard throws a battery at a ref and they call the match in the 87th minute. This is when I was still able to bet at Pinnacle. Their rules state that a match must go 90 minutes to be final.

This bet was for several hundred dollars and it was cancelled.

Runner-up goes to a 2nd-half under I had for UCLA in the fall of 2005. I think it was their bowl game. The half was going waaay under until one of the teams kicks an onside kick and the other team returns it for a TD. No problem. The game was still under. The team kicks another onside kick and the other team returns it for another TD. The 2nd-half goes over.

The Sun Bowl vs Northwestern

Worst beat was the Mets Braves Playoff game, Ventura didn't circle the bases after a slam for the over.

Also, Chris Duhon shot vs Uconn 2004 National Semis, worst part was, I was going money line all the way and then switched it at the last second.

Best victory. Stanford vs Oregon Score is 56-49 with 8 seconds left. Line is 7.5. Stanford punts from their own 45 and its downed at the Oregon 1 with 1 second left. Next play Kai lee Wong sacks Oregon for a 58-49 (1997 Season).

san diego state vs. indiana in the ncaa tournament two years ago still brings back bad, bad memories.

sdsu absolutely imploded in the final 0:40 to trash my +3.5, which i grabbed earlier that week before the line came down.

if there was a way to find the tape of the final stages of that game, id almost be masochistic enough to want to see it again.

Major league Baseball. UNDER 6(yes under 6), Ryan vs Valenzuela in the Astrodome. Astros scratch out a two-out broken bat run in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game 1-1. The Dodgers score 5 in the top of the fifteenth much to my dismay.

christ. just watching that game go over the original total was bad enough. i never stopped to think that it actually busted under teasers as well. that game, or rather the 4th quarter of that game, was ridiculous. 3-0 at half i believe. then a moderate 3rd quarter. and then all hell broke loose in the final 15:00 when washington shit all over themselves.

yep, first 45minutes was a defensive war with seattle up 13-0.

Gonzaga vs Indiana in Maui a few years back, lost by 1/2 point as gonzaga put back a missed 3 down three to lose by 1 just as the buzzer went off, was as sick a loss as i have ever had.

I had ravens last year in the last leg of a teaser on a mnf game.
I think it was for around 3k and if i remember it right i had them at +28, i posted here and everybody said go hedge it.
They ended up losing by 30++

NCAA Basketball game a few years back. Loiusiana Lafayette (-3 I think) at North Texas. Had alot of money on La Lafayette. They had a hug halftime lead of 18-20 points. Went to see my nephew play a basketball game thinking I was a little "richer" only to come home and see they lost by 6-7 points. Went from the top to the bottom very fast. I can laugh about it now but at the time my computer was getting verbally abused. LOL
