Is there any reason a book has not graded this yet?

they always wait for the end of a series to grade these wagers regardless of how obvious the win is.

Same reason as with season bets, in case the season gets cut short or some other factor that would lead to a void market.

If you call them they may be able to allow the funds to be available pending the series being completed shortly....

Even if the NBA season ended today for some reason, and could not
be completed, why should that affect the result here, which is already
decided on both sides of the bet. Detroit cannot win this series -3.5
games [or 4-0] and Philly cannot lose it at +3.5 [or 0-4].

I understand your point on season bets, but X-Files is right in this case, there is no factor that could void or change the result. Probably just more of the fact that they schedule to grade these wagers at the end of the series and don't want to waste the time to grade as they go along.

I would guess that if X-Files brought it to their attention that they would go ahead and grade it.

If something happened (terrorist attack, whatever) and the series was shortened, would they grade it as a winner because it's already decided or void? I'm not sure..

Would be a void wager if series not complete. Santo right as usual. He is a very bright individual. That being said, the common sense should come into play and they could go ahead and grade it a winner. Nice bet X.

Why do they do that? Not only is that the case, but if the game goes
only 8.49999 innings, even if the score is 18-17, the bet is "cancelled"
[i.e. counted a push, void].
