They actually have 2 different rooms on 2 different networks. Since they wont let u use echecks for ur 1st deposit and im unable to find anyone to trade funds with ive been unable to try them for real money.

Im sure it was just a coincidence but after loading the downloadable room it said i had to restart my computer. when i did my computer never came back up and i ended up losing everything on it as they had to completely erase my hard drive and start over to get me back to running..
Also the place who did this work for me loaded uncertified windows xp and office software, even though my certified were numbers were right on my computers housing so now my computer is useless as microsoft wont allow me any updates for either software...
Like i say im sure it is a coincidence or the boards would be full of complaints but it sure was an expensive and time consuming hassle for something i just wanted to try on a whim....

That's pure and utter incompetence on behalf of yourself and place that worked on your computer if you lost any data on your hard drive.

5Dimes has actually 3 poker rooms. Their 3D Poker client is on True Poker, and their Flash no-download client is on PitBull Poker. Have tried both those, but I haven't tried their "Classic" download poker client, not sure what network that is on. I presume that's the one that messed with your computer? If so, I'll avoid it.

I mean really. There are places that will recover data from hard drives that have been burned and melted in fire. To think that data on a hard drive with no physical defect (just screwed up O/S or lost boot record) can't be saved is ridiculous.

The place that worked on your computer was lazy and incompetent. The quickest way to get back up would have been for you to buy new hard drive to reinstall an Operating System and access your old hard drive as a secondary drive.

Even if they reformatted your hard drive and reinstalled everything, some of your data can still be recovered via file recovery tools. But that was just a totally assanine thing for them to do.

You are ofcourse right Adam but the expense involved in that recovery effort would be a little over my head.. Not to mention they didnt ask me anything they just did it. I considered maybe a small claims court action against them but its not worth the effort. Although i am meeting with the owner Friday and im going to try to at least get them to give me a new fully functioning release of Office. thats an over 400 dollar program that could have been reloaded properly with little effort on their part.

Also that "3rd room" i dont think is a 3rd room, it appears , and again i never got a chance to try it but it seemed that that is a sort of club for players from 5 dimes on that network where you get points or something to that effect that 5 dimes then redeems in some manner..it might even be tournys that only 5 dimes players can enter. m not sure but i did sign up for it and there was no software or even a link to a 3rd poker room..

Chop, right now im going to concentrate on trying to build a roll at FT or STARS that i can take to New Orleans. AirConditioning season is here now and im swamped with work so i really have little time for anything else at the moment..
But i will take you up on the offer next month if its still open and i appreciate the offer..

OMFG look at this:

Chat InformationPlease wait for a site operator to respond.
Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'Becky'
Becky: Hello. How may I assist you today?
HinesWard86 : hello becky
HinesWard86 : i had a question
HinesWard86: i was just in the poker room, won a hand and split a pot with another player and lost money on the hand
HinesWard86 : it was the very first hand i played
HinesWard86 : i think there was some sort of error in the system
Becky: what poker room are you playing in?
HinesWard86 : i was playing in flash poker
HinesWard86 : the hand number was like 52194249
HinesWard86 : i dont know exactly
Becky: Just a moment please
HinesWard86 : ok
Becky: in what table was it?
HinesWard86 : ummmmm i am not sure
HinesWard86: it was a 10 person table
HinesWard86 : i know that much
Becky: i need to know the table that you were at in order to check it HinesWard86
HinesWard86 : one second let me try to find it
Chat InformationChat session has been terminated by the site operator.

Between the last thing I said and when she terminated the chat was LITERALLY 20 seconds. Never had a problem with 5D but THAT is fucking pathetic. There is a problem with their software and then the operator gets rude when I don't know the table.

If it was a heads up hand and you and 1 player split the pot you are forgetting about the 11th seat...The 1 that wins EVERY hand.
your 2.00 + his 2.00 - minus say .15 rake means 1.92 returned to each player.. There in lies the rub with poker...the 11 seat wins every hand......

You have got to be kidding right? It's called RAKE. The site takes it on every hand. I play a lot of PL O/8 and I lose money on every split obviously.

This actually has already cost me according to poker tracker about $60 in rake when playing Omaha8b cash games. I get a hand where i have the low and the other player has the high and yet he keeps raising the pot until the river where he goes all-in..i have to call even though the only person whos making more money off of this is the site. we split anyway but instead of paying a .50 rake we end up paying $3.00 in rake. its stupid and i can try to point it out afterwards put the money is already gone at that point...

Not sure at 5 dimes but at Stars its 5% up to a certain point where its capped. At my limits its capped at $3.00 but at say 200/400 full tables its a $5.00 cap

5 dimes "classic poker room" has always been a favorite of mine. They get a nice 5/10 game going later at night at least 5 times a week and all in's are quite common. Just wait for the nuts and someone is always willing to pay you off. That particular room is networked with several other sportsbooks. You'll find you are playing against some degenrate NBA sports gamblers who could give a sh*t if they lose a grand. They can't wait to get some action. I find the action to be much better than their network with "True Poker" and I nvr even tried the flash poker because there were only 5 people playing when I looked. The "Classic poker room" is very good action when the 5/10 gets rolling. Don't come back and post any crap about rigged this or rigged that either. When someone chases a gut shot str8 drw for $500 and hits it... you gotta be willing to accept it and reload. those are the guys you want at your tbl. OIf course they will get lucky too sometimes

Was told yday that a decision would be reached by noon today. I just contacted them and they are now asking for a table number. I do not see a table number anywhere on the screen. All the tables have names, the only numbers are hand numbers. Either I am blind or 5Dimes has no idea what the fuck they are doing with the poker room

If it was in the downloadable room then its not 5 dimes support anyway , that goes back to True Poker. probably you have someone at 5 dimes talking to true poker support who doesnt have a clue about poker and probably totally misunderstands what your saying Hines. look up True Poker and write their support directly.. They only have a few thousand players how busy could they be...lol

Is there anyway you could post a HH or screenshot or something?

I think you are right in regards to the support issue.

I couldn't find a hand history anywhere on the site. I was multi-tasking while playing and didnt notice until a little later.

I think I'm done asking anyways though, I just dont care anymore. At first I was upset, mainly at the live chat operator for being rude, but after two 30+ minute chat sessions, it seriously isnt worth it now. Still no answer and I don't think there will be.

Flash is Pitbull Poker, and it has some serious bugs.

For example, someone betting all-in $0.01 over the last raise re-opens the action for the raiser. Ridiculous.
