MILWAUKEE –1 +1.15 over Philadelphia (Pinny)
The Brewers beat the Phillies Ace yesterday to run their record to 13-8 and their home record to 6-3. But there are even some more relevant numbers then that. The Brewers are 10-3 in day games and this one goes off at 1:05 PM and they’re 6-0 against southpaws and will face Jamie Moyer here and his 46-yr-old body. Moyer's stats don’t look that bad but a closer look reveals that he’s been very fortunate. In 20 innings of work he’s been tagged for 29 hits and 14 runs, 11 of those earned. The opposition has hit a whopping .326 off him, which suggests he’s been pitching with men on base just about every inning. This guy has thrown over 3500 innings over a 21-year span and he can’t have much left. The fact that he’s been hit hard and has struck out just seven batters all year suggests he’s not fooling anyone. Even the Nationals smoked him. The Brewers are feeling pretty good right now and Jeff Suppan has been rock solid in three of four starts. In those three starts he’s not allowed more then two runs in any of them and in his only start at home he was simply brilliant against the Reds. Play: Milwaukee –1 +1.15 (Risking 2 units). <o:p></o:p>

Toronto +1.03 over TAMPA BAY
We acknowledge the fact that the Jays are underachieving and frankly, with a rotation like theirs, it’s an embarrassment to be sitting at 10-12. The manager doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground and there’s not a single manager on the planet that wouldn’t trade their pitching staff for the Jays pitching staff. Tonight, Dustin McGowan will make his fifth start of the year and just like last season, the man has been solid. He’s not allowed more then three earned runs in any of his starts and he’s not had his best stuff yet. Meanwhile, even after a complete game shutout against the White Sox, Andy Sonnastine still has an ERA of 5.55. He’s been torched way too many times in his brief career that’s covered 26 starts and he’s absolutely not to be trusted as the chalk. Hopefully John Gibbons won’t have to think in this one. Play: Toronto +1.03 (Risking 2 units). <o:p></o:p>

Chicago +1.11 over COLORADO
The Rockies have to be psychologically fragile, as they’ve dropped four straight and all of them were the result of a bullpen meltdown. They led after seven innings in all four games and have nothing to show for it and that makes coming to the park today a little more difficult. Losing is highly contagious and the Rockies have the bug at the moment. Aaron Cook has some very decent numbers this year but this guy as an average pitcher at best and it’s only a matter of time until he gets rocked. In his six-year career the opposition has hit .291 off him, as he’s surrendered 854 hits in 744 career innings. The Cubbies continue to win with seven in a row now and counting. They can hit anyone and should have little trouble putting up a bunch more this afternoon. So, pay no attention to Cook’s early season success, he’s not that good. Pay much more attention to the Cubbies playing great ball and the fact that we’re getting a tag makes this one even sweeter. Jason Marquis is an average pitcher but he certainly is no worse then Cook. Hot vs cold gets the call. Play: Chicago +1.11 (Risking 2 units).
