Why do managers give the green light?

To batters hitting well under the Mendoza line? I just don't understand it. Unless my computer is wrong thats twice in the the Detroit game players from Texas have swung 3 0 or 3 1. Bonderman has control issues why not take the pitch and get your free pass. I just don't understand it. I'm not on Texas either I have the over 10. The only reason I took it was because both pitchers in the game have more Walks than K's on the season.

IF a coach gives the go-ahead, it's usually in hopes they tighten up their strike zone and only swing when it's a dead fastball strike(which a 3-0 pitch usually is).

It can also be they are NOT giving them the green and these guys swing anyways. These are the Texas Rangers and are horrible at baseball right now.

I believe you are referring to Vasquez, the number 9 hitter in the lineup with a 3-1 count and 2 on and 2 out and he swings. I was on the phone telling a buddy, that he is not going to swing for sure and he decides he is barry bonds and pops it up.

Yea looks like we will still win anyways. Both u with Detroit and me with the over. This lineup is going to be scary when Shef gets healthy. Only easy out will be Jaque

Jacque playing time will diminsh once Sheff gets back. CG, SHEFF, Mags, Rayburn, Thames, no room for Jones
