I bet a grand on Boston last night at -106 just knowing the public would be all over Boston and that line would move hard. It has moved to -111 and I can scalp out at + 109, but I am shocked it hasnt moved harder. Sharps and squares both seem to like Boston today but it is barely moving. Any ideas on why? Maybe it is still too early.

Considering lazzonya's info about Wakefields dominance in domes, yes I cant believe it either.

I am going to buy back most or all of this, I just was sure I would get a much better price. I agree, there is probably a reason this number isnt moving. Hopefully when everyone gets home from work it will creep up.

The Kicker is that C. Pena is Out as well, and the line is " Just Sitting ":think2:

red sox team has been overcome with the flu as of late so check the lineups befre the start.
d rays always play the sox hard and sox bullpen is shaky as of late.
hope the sox outscore them for their beset shot at winning.

Even if the Boston price moves every time its logical that there will be degrees of movement depending on what price was originally put in by the books, there has to be times where this price is keener than normal. Lets be honest here, this sort of thing goes on every Day and is only highlighted when someone like Boston loses. Just think for a second, the books dont put in a price expecting it to get hit, Boston or no Boston, sooner or later they will end up putting in solid lines that dont move.

Great start to the year TN, continued success. :drink:

TN, I am new to this board and have been able to determine that you appear to be one of the best cappers, long and short term. I have also seen that your normal bet is 2 units.

I know unit size is irrelavant (no jokes intended here, LOL) -- mine is $10 and speaking in terms of units makes it easy for all to adjust their bets accordingly. But since you just mentioned that you bet a grand on Boston last night... just what is your normal unit bet -- if you don't mind telling us. The big reason I ask this is that sometimes, like last night, you bet on a lot of games.

Wakefield is 42 years old. He has lost 4 of his last 5 road games. The last 2 times he has faced Tampa he has pitched 8 innings and given up 11 runs. Tampa Bay has an excellent bullpen and just swept Toronto at home. I personally never bet any of the over 40 crowd. GL

last nights wager is not actually a wager. I was taking a stand that I felt the line was going to move. I bet 1060 to win 1000. Now I am deciding how much to buy back. Lets just say I could get Tampa +120. To keep it simple lets say I buy $1000 to win $1200. Now if Boston wins I break even and if tampa wins, I win $140 with no risk of losing money.

Please dont misunderstand by the $1000 that I really like Boston. I do still like them a bit, and will probably end up with 1 or 2 units on them. And to answer your question, a standard unit for me is $100, but I will change that from time to time.
