SAN FRANCISCO +1.06 over Cincinnati
Kevin Correia’s stats for 2007 don't look impressive at first but if you look deeper you’ll see he was 3-1 with an ERA of 2.54 in eight starts. This year his luck isn’t any better but he still continues to perform well and always gives the Giants a chance to win. In four starts against four good teams (Arizona twice, St. Louis and Milwaukee), Correia has allowed 24 hits in 25 innings and he’s pitched at least six full innings or more in all of his starts. At home the opposition has hit just .202 off him in two starts. Correia is consistently good. The Giants have picked it up big time with three wins in a row and suddenly they’re 11-13 and in second place in the division. The Reds have dropped to 9-15 and their bats have gone ice cold in the process. Prior to last night’s game in Frisco they had played seven in a row at home and they scratched and clawed for every run at that enormous hitter’s park. Only once in those eight games did they score more then four times, meaning they were held to three or less in six of seven games. So, not only can’t they score, but also they’ll send one of the leagues biggest stiffs to the mound today in Matt Belisle. In 127 career appearances that includes 38 starts, the opposition has hit .300 off him. His ERA last year was well over five and in his one start this year he allowed 12 hits and seven runs in four innings. The fact that the Reds are favored here is beyond ludicrous. Play: San Francisco +1.06 (Risking 2 units). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

DETROIT –1 +1.02 over L.A. Angels (pinny)
Dustin Moseley is in the Angels rotation by default only and as soon as John Lackey or Kelvim Escobar returns, Moseley will be removed from the rotation immediately. This guy is about as useless as a jam sandwich to a drowning rabbit. In four starts covering just 19 frames, Moseley has surrendered 30 hits, 17 earned runs, four bombs and has walked 10 for an ERA of 7.78. He was brutal last year and he’s even worse this year. By contrast, the Tigers Armando Galarraga has been brilliant in two starts. He’s allowed a ridiculous four hits in 12 innings against the Jays and Indians for a batting average against of .103. He’s also whiffed 10 batters. Of course, two starts does not make a season but in 14 career appearances his numbers are almost as impressive (20.1 innings 12 hits 16 k’s and a .169 batting average against). The Tigers should be able to put up a bunch today and then some and a loss to this stiff Moseley would be shocking. Play Detroit –1 +1.02 (Risking 2 units).
