flacco was seriously one of the best players i watched in college football last year. he was one of those kids who just jumped out at you and had that 'wow' factor. throwing the ball is effortless to him. i dont see any resemblance at all to kyle boller once you get past arm strength. this kid is mobile and athletic for how big he is. baltimore (no surprise) made another great first round pick.
Playing against D2 competition will make you look good. The guy couldn't start for Pittsburgh which makes me think he doesn't have what it takes. His athleticism isn't that great from what I can see. Maybe slightly above average for NFL standards. His arm is very similar to Boller's. I just don't see it...
this is absolutely nonsense.
especially coming from someone who attends boise state.
you should know better.
much better.
Should be an open competition in training camp for sure since Boller's dad "Billick" is gone.honestly, i think flacco is better than matt ryan. but teams are going to be reluctant to draft delaware over bc. both will be good pros though. not a knock on ryan. he is a prototype nfl qb as well.
I guarantee less than 5% of this forum have seen this guy play an entire game of college football. Highlights on ESPN don't make me think a guy is a good pick.
The defenses he played against might not have a single person taken in the draft. The only halfway good defense they played all last year was Appalachian St and Flacco completed like 45% of his passes that game.

On the flip side, can't you blame his poor #'s on playing WITH inferior talent? If he has shitty teammates who can't protect him or separate from DBs, that isn't an excuse just as much as it is a reason to criticize? This isn't basketball, where a clearly superior player can dominate against a team composed of scrubs. There are 10 other players on the field that have a big say in how good a QB's numbers are.
Not saying you're right or wrong (although' Ill trust the best GM in the NFL's opinion over yours), but right or wrong, the reasoning is flawed.
