Mussina was one of the best pitchers in the majors in last 10 or so years. But since last season, he is only 13-13 with his ERA over 5.00. So, he is just an average player right now and can be beaten on any given night, by any given team. And his age is not helping his cause at all. Just look at his last 7 starts on short rest (4 days). 32 er in 33.1 ip (8.64 era). His WHIP over those 7 starts is 1.74. And in his 3 road starts over those 7 starts he is 0-3 with ERA of 12.41 and WHIP of 2.35. He was OK in his first two starts this season, with no travel and one normal rest start and one short rest start. But since then, his 4 days of rest starts were good for ERA of over 10. The Yankee bullpen is horrible, with the exception of Rivera. The Tribe failed to score a run yesterday and they will be focused today. This team has a potent offense and hopefully that 0 on the scoreboard yesterday will motivate them to play the offense they are capable of playing.

Cain and Morales are better than wjat their records/ERA's suggest. Morales faced Arizona twice and a solid Cubs team, with two of those three games being played @ Coors field. Overall, he has two quality starts in two games started year to date. Cain has faced 3 different teams in 5 starts this season and had a quality start against all three teams (@ SD, vs STL and @ LAD). His only really bad start was @ STL, just 5 days after he dominated this same team at home, allowing 2 runs in just under 7 innings of work. Cain usually pitches well at home, especially against the Rockies. Morales seems to be back on track and SF has not seen a lefty starter in two weeks. Two bad offenses face two solid pitchers.
