Angels (-115) 1.5 units.......Angels returning home tonight after taking 4 of 6 in Boston and Detroit and having won 10 of their last 14 overall games. Angels were 54-27 in home games last season and hit .305 in games at Angel Stadium. Garland hasn't pitched very well this season,he's not striking guys out and both lefties and righties are smashing the ball. In the past though he has been a much better pitcher at home and last season his ERA was at least under 4.00 against Oakland. Garland's ERA was also almost 3 full runs better in night games last year (2.95 in 17 starts) than day games. Gaudin has been pretty good, not allowing a bunch of hits or runs so far. One thing that stands out is he's held lefties to a .469 OPS this year which will never hold up. It should revert back closer to .850. Gaudin was batted around by the Angels last year, especially in Anaheim and he's a better day game pitcher than at night. Angels hit .030 points better at night than in the day last season. Oakland has been brutal at the plate, hitting just .237 on the road this season and just .250 overall where the Angels are hitting .286 overall.
