i track the 1st inning scoring / runs allowed habits of every team. i look for good matchups in either the first game of a series or where the trend was not followed in the previous game of the series. if the trend hits, i skip the next game of the series.
i'll try to check in every day, and we'll see how it goes for a while.
i suppose the big question is do these trends continue, or should they be faded (assuming that most teams will approach the league averages as the season continues).
if i remember correctly, last year pittsburgh and detroit were great "NO's" all season.
atlanta @ washington (4:35 ET) - YES
a run is scored in the 1st inning of atlanta games 59.26% of the time
atlanta scores a run in the 1st inning in 48.15% of those
a run is scored in the 1st inning of washington games 57.14% of the time
washington allows a run in the 1st inning in 39.29% of those
* yesterday was a "NO" and a loss. i am going to stick to 1 unit bets across the board for now, but this game may warrant more units because it follows a loss.
league averages are 50.25% and 29.95%
houston @ arizona (3:40 ET) - YES
this game would normally be a strong play, but it hit with a "YES" yesterday. take it for what it's worth. i will lay off.
will post lines when they are out.
YTD:
1-2 -$175.00
