Trying to learn more about bases... I don't think either of these are considered an error -- why not? I can see not counting them as errors if a runner does not advance or score but otherwise it seems like they should be an error.

One can only be charged with an error with a ball that is put in play.

Passed balls and wild pitches have their own seperate category.
