Everytime the Cubs are on ESPN they are blacked out for me. And I don't get whatever "local" station it is being blacked out for. I don't even know what station it is being 2 hours from Chicago. Playoff race last year pissed me off with this shit. Game tonight is blacked out

Get dishnetwork and go to the alternate stations. I got fox sports Milwaukee. Brewers announcers, but at least I get to see Soto piss pound the ball. I understand what you are saying though. WCIU is the station you are talking about. Local chicago station that carries the game. ESPN blacks out about 50% of these games, so you never know if you will get to see them or not. I remember a week ago Monday was the same way, only ESPN carried the game. Seriously though if you are as big of a fan as you sound, just upgrade to a satellite dish and you will never have to worry again.

i solved this EXACT problem a few years ago..

Cubs and white sox play on ch 26 in Chicago every once in a while. Thats a Chicago only local channel. Now the way Directv's local channels work is its based on your zip code. So i used my old zip code as my address so i get chicago locals even though i live in champaign, thus i get the Cubs/Sox games on ch 26.

And since its paperless billing, its no issue of my mail going to a no longer occupied address. Solves this problem flawlessly!
