There's some rumours flying around that Phoenix Sports was packing it in, I just wanted to come on here and clarify the matter. We are not packing it in, the only thing we closed was our posting forum, as it was no longer financially beneficial without sponsorship support.<o></o>

Here's some FYI I posted in another forum about our WORLD SERIES OF HANDICAPPING TRADEMARK:
<o> </o>
Phoenix Sports was pre-approve for the Trademark of World Series of Handicapping, but there’s a 90 day period where a 3rd party can protest the trademark. In fact, we’re at this stage right now, MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL is protesting our trademark adn they must show why Phoenix Sports can’t own the trademark rights. I’m a bit puzzled, since the World Series of Poker seems to be doing ok without any hassles from the MLB legal eagles. I think their argument will be the “World Series” part, but we’ll know more as this process runs its course.
<o></o>
The bottom line for me with this trademark is to give our industry a platform like the World Series of Poker is enjoying and creating jobs in this tough economy. Like how many people here would love to be involved in a World Series of Handicapping venture?
If there's any new development, I'll keep all you bettors posted.
