An older gentleman cold in the Cubs home station after the game and brought up an interesting point. He said, "Take all the ivy down and pad the brick wall just like all the other fields in baseball and they won't lose games like todays!"

When Wood hits the first batter, you are asking for trouble.

They would NEVER take out the ivy and improve their number of wins over a season. NEVER. And the fans wouldn't want it taken out either. Winning is secondary to the experience. The thing is, the park would still sell out every year WITHOUT the ivy.

I think I heard that they are now dead even since the brewers came to the NL. Do not know for sure, but I am pretty sure they are close.

Disclaimer: Cards fan here, so really dont give a shit, just repeating something I heard.

Nice to hear A23 need more like you. I would personally like to thank Kerry Wood and the Ivy I guess for the win yesterday my pockets are a little fatter because of it. Oh and fuck the cubs.

I wanna say 81-79 Cubs, but I could be wrong. Very, very close though, however according to the Cub fans mouthing off at the bar last night "the Cubs still own the Brewers."
