Introducing The Pig.com 2008 Kentucky Derby Contest open to all Rx posters with at least 50 posts and an account at ThePig.com.

The winner if qualified will receive a $1,000 Matchplay at ThePig.com.

Race Info:
Kentucky Derby 134
Saturday May 3rd.
Race 10 at Churchill Downs
Distance: one and a quarter miles on dirt.

Eligibility Rules:
You must have an account at ThePig.com in order to play in this contest,
you must sign up for your The Pig.com account through this link if you do not already have one: HERE....

Entrants must have at least 50 posts here at the Rx.com as of 6PM EST Saturday May 3rd.

CONTEST RULES...

1. Entrants must select the Kentucky Derby winning horse.

2. Entrants must select the official distance that the Kentucky Derby winner beats the second place (Place) finisher.
The distances are by a nose, head, neck, 1/4 length, 1/2 length, 3/4 length, 1 length, 1 & 1/4 lengths, 1 & 1/2 lengths, 1 & 3/4 lengths, 2 lengths, and so on.
Example: 5 & 3/4 lengths.

3. If two or more entrants guess the winning horse and the correct distance, then a second tie-breaker will be the exact time of the winner. Entrants must predict the correct time to one fifth of a second.

Example:
2:02:2 minutes - which is two minutes, two and two fifths seconds.

4. If there is still a tie the entrant who enters his/her entry earliest by post number will be declared the winner. For example if completely tied Post #5 beats Posts #8 etc..


5. The official distance and time will be as provided by the Daily Racing Form official race chart, which will be posted within a half hour or so of the conclusion of the race. If your horse is scratched you cannot enter a second selection. Multiple entrants from the same IP will be ruled ineligible unless cleared ahead of time with Wilheim at person19481950@yahoo.com. No editing.


6. Any unforseen circumstances or situations will be ruled on by The Pig.com & The RX.com managment.
Decisions will be final in the event of a ruling.

There will only be one winner and he/she will win a $1,000 Matchplay (5 X Rollover) if qualified (see note below).


NOTE: In order to win the full amount entrants must have a balance of at least $50 at 6PM EST. Saturday, May 3rd. 2008 at ThePig.com or a bet of at least $20 of any kind bet at The Pig.com on The Kentucky Derby itself.

Entrants without the $50 balance at 6PM EST on May 3rd at ThePig.com or at least a $20 bet on The Kentucky Derby itself made at The Pig.com only, will receive 25% of the grand prize which will be a $250 Matchplay at The Pig.com (5 X Rollover).


Entrants with a balance of at least $50 at 6PM EST on May 3rd or at least a $20 bet of any kind on the Kentucky Derby either at The Pig.com will receive a $1,000 Matchplay (5 X Rollover).


Remember you must have an account at The Pig.com no later than 6PM EST. Saturday, May 3rd. to be eligible along with at least 50 posts here at the Rx.com by that same deadline.


Post your entries in this thread. The thread will close when the horses break from the gate of Race Ten The Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, which will be around 6PM EST. on Saturday, May 3rd. 2008.

Example of entry:

Winner: Big Truck
Winning distance over place horse: 1/2 length.
Official time of the winning horse: 2:02.2 (two minutes and two and two fifths seconds, you do not have to write out the time in words just the numbers are sufficient).




The winner will be determined by Rx.com moderators Wilheim and OldmanTed. We will grade the race separately and compare results to insure the correct winner is announced. Natrually the winner will have to meet posted contest qualifications after he/she is identified in order to collect his/her prize.

Example:

2:02:2 minutes - which is two minutes, two and two fifths seconds.

You can only have 1,2,3 or 4 fifths of a second until you come to the next second. A time like 201.7 is actually 202.1. Naturally 5 fifths of a second is a second itself.


Please do not use seconds broken into tenths in the # 3 answer to the contest.
